A couple of years ago, I became fast friends with the extremely talented and very funny Michelle Arnett of Creative Blu. Since then, I’ve had Michelle design all of my promotional materials and magazine advertisements. I just love this latest wedding postcard she created for me. Thank you Michelle!Michelle’s design studio creates custom invitations, that…

Last night, my beautiful niece, Abby, had her semi-formal high school dance. I thought it was so sweet that she asked me to come and take a few snaps of her and her friends. They all looked so great, and seemed like such a fun group. Tweet

Yesterday, I posted wedding photographs from Margaret and David’s beautiful event! Today, I want to share more information about their rescue and volunteer work with a very important organization called RAVS (Rural Aarea Veterinary Services), which is run by the Humane Society of the United States. This heroic group of professionals provide free spay/neuter clinics…

Margaret is an amazing veterinarian. I originally met her, after I adopted a dog that Margaret had rescued from an Indian Reservation, in Arizona. I was so happy when she asked me to photograph her wedding! It was great to meet David (also a veterinarian). They first met while studying their profession… very cool! Margaret…

[...] internet search came up with me, they discovered that I had photographed one of Linda’s very good friend’s wedding. You see, Linda and Jon live in New Jersey, and next week they are tying the knot in Burbank. [...]
In addition to cutting down their own Christmas Tree, The Nelsons decided to add a family portrait session to this year’s adventure. We drove out to Goodmans Christmas Tree Farm where they have 65 acres of tress to choose from! It was very cold, but oh so much fun! Here is a little slide show…

What a beautiful series of family photographs. The backdrop of Christmas trees and snow is wonderful. A priceless keepsake!
Thank you, Alice, for sharing these beautiful pictures with us. Goodman’s Christmas Tree Farm has provided many, many, special moments for families and we are happy to be part of your holiday tradition.

Great photos!
It seems like such a wonderful and white Christmas!
The photos really reflect the Joy of the day.
I love ‘em.
Thanks

As always – AMAZING. Particularly like the last shot with all of the helpers — I’m sure the one with the shorter arms was the tree placement guide.

It is difficult to take the time to keep my portfolios updated with current work. That is why I’m so thrilled to have designed a sample album from a recent wedding. I won’t actually receive the finished product for a couple of months. I’m so excited, however, that I couldn’t wait to share the cover…

We are having a real snow storm today! It’s the first one Darla, my pomeranian puppy, has experienced. Franny loves to play in the snow, and it seems that Darla is right in there with her. Even Lulu, the pug, joined in a little game of chase today! I’m hoping this is an indicator for…

I recently photographed London and Monica’s wedding. They are both great actors who met while studying at the prestigious Actors Studio, in New York City. I had so much fun photographing London’s new headshots, and appreciate Monica coming along and helping out! Tweet

Kelly and Bill eloped! So what would have originally been an engagement portrait session, became tagged as post-elopement portraits. These two are so cute. They are so clearly in love (both with each other, as well as with their sweet dogs Violet and Vita). We had a great time photographing at their house, with their…

Congratulations Angel and Rick! These two had a wonderful wedding, attended by a lovely and lively group of family and friends! While helping us with this image, Angel’s mom joked that this kiss is “Mother-in-Law Approved.” Jeanie Lee Toon did an amazing job with the flowers. It was really cool how they made different color…

As purely objective viewers, we love these wedding photos and can’t wait to see the others. Thanks again for doing such an amazing job organizing and corralling all of our family and wedding party for the pictures. It was the most incredible day of our lives and we are so grateful to have beautiful pictures to remember it by.
My first few days back in Los Angeles, were spent rescuing a little dog found roaming down San Vicente (a very busy street). We called him Despereaux, after the movie mouse, because of his enormous ears! Sadly, he had no tags and no microchip, so we could not find the dog’s original owners. Luckily Jay,…

Beautifully done. Absolutely gorgeous–both people and animals.
Sarah just reminded me that we actually had a few names for this cutie. It started with Vincent, because we found him on San Vicente. Then it was Freddie Mac, in case he was a foreclosure doggie. Finally, we ended with Despereaux… adorable, brave, and more adorable!
freddie mac!
hope you’re happy little guy: sorry ishmael kept trying to eat you while you were visiting.

My sister’s family makes a very scary Halloween house! They have witches that brew curses with ingredients like bat wings and vampire blood. They have a haunted pumpkin patch, and creepy monsters (like Dracula) that will come out and grab you! Here is just a glimpse of their amazing work! At my house, we keep…

Since Miller has two very fun, loving, and sometimes goofy parents, it is clear he has a great start in life. In fact, at just ten months old, Miller is the happiest baby you could ever meet. Whether he is posing for a photo, having lunch,or playing with his daddy, this little man is always smiling…

Times do change. I was still shooting with film, when I photographed Kristin and Matt’s wedding several years ago. Now, I primarily use my digital cameras. Kristin called me to photograph their beautiful daughter Lucy, who recently turned one. This little bundle of cuteness sure does love to run! Look how a little game of…

One of the lovely perks of being a wedding photographer is I’m often called back to photograph the new generations… aka the babies. While in San Francisco last week, I was lucky to have three such jobs! I photographed Brook and David’s amazing wedding in Idaho. They now have two beautiful children, Grace and Xavier….

Hey Alice – what a luscious treat to see these photos of Grace and Xavier. I love your blog! You do have such a gift! I love to take photos and I can appreciate your skill, because, believe me, my pix don’t look like yours!!
Say hi to Lulu for me.

Alice is just amazing. Her portraits of my kids just capture their essence in such a simple yet intimate way. Grace was NOT going to get her picture taken by someone she didn’t know yet only moments later, in such a sweet and organic way, Alice had her turning somersaults and dancing without a bit of hesitation in front of the lens. This woman is such a talent and I would refer her time and time again to friends and family. Thanks Alice!
Wow! I had such a great time photographing Monica and London’s wedding, at the gorgeous Westin Hotel, in San Francisco. There are so many great shots, but here is a quick peek at some photos that caught my eye. A big thank you to my dear friend and associate photographer Michelle Montalbano for shooting with…

Love it, love it, love it!
I had seen some of your photos at John & Beth’s and liked them. But I’ve only seen a little of your website so far and I’m falling in love already! Awesome eye, awesome composition, awesome technical stuff. I like the first one of just Derek in the grass the best. But in all your shots, I love what you capture.
Kudos!
Smiles and blessings,
~ Cheri (John’s big sister)
Central New York radiates in autumn. I went for a hike to photograph some of the changing colors, as well as, my favorite part of the season, migrating geese. Some trees are ahead of the curve. This one is just one leaf away from winter.I wish you could hear the honking… it’s one of my favorite…
