look up “happy halloween” in the dictionary {and you’ll find a picture of Cooper}

Cooper donned an awesome halloween costume for his school parade yesterday!  In fact, it was such a great costume, he won first prize in a costume contest held at the McHarrie Museum last night!  Here is cute a snap I took with my sister’s point and shoot… It you think about it, this getup adds […]

sara and jordan {sort of}

I had a great family portrait session with Jeff and his beautiful daughters Jordan and Sara.  You may remember Sara from her senior portrait session!  After the shoot today, we were talking on the front porch saying our goodbyes, as they were all getting ready to head home.  At some point I glance over and […]

There seems to be a growing number of “Abbys” in my life.  While in Los Angeles last week, I ran into the very sweet “Abby” that manages the apartment building I used to live in.  I was thrilled when she asked me to photograph her new rescue chihuahua named Nils! Nils is adorable from every […]

My trip to Los Angeles was fantastic!  I got to see some of my favorite people on the planet, eat my favorite foods, and enjoy some warm (sometimes HOT) sunny weather.  To top it all off, I had some awesome photo shoots! The overnight flight home was a little rough.  I was pretty out of […]

alice - Hey Nanci,
I’ve missed you! Thanks for your fun note. I’m so glad to hear you like the dino shot. It’s a subtle image, but I think it really illustrates Monkey’s love/curiosity for her little friend. :) xoxo, Alice

Nanci - these are absolutely adorable photo’s. I like the photo with the dino—something about this one brings a big smile.

Having a great time in Los Angeles, and today’s job made it even greater! How lucky am I to have two dog portrait sessions in one week?  Answer:  Very lucky! Here is a cute favorite from the end of our shoot.  After a long hard day of modeling, Nils was ready for a nap… Tomorrow, […]

i heart interior design {a lot}

I’ve been in my central New York house for just about two years.  I still have a lot of personalizing to perform with my home, so one of my favorite past times, in Los Angeles, is to visit the city’s amazing furniture and fabric showrooms for inspiration.  Of course, some of you know, I’m a […]

I’m in a little bit of weather shock today!  Yesterday I was in Central New York with frost on the grass, and a forecast of snow on the way.  Today, I’m in Los Angeles where the 80 plus degree weather is feeling like a a fiery inferno! After our super fun doggy portrait session, Ottis […]

Kyla Giles - Alice, Thank you sooo much for hosting such a wonderful evening! We truly enjoyed ourselves and you can bet that we were chattering away the whole ride home, full of new ideas and inspiration! Thanks for opening up your beautiful home to us and thanks to Justin & Mary for a phenomenal presentation. It was wonderful to meet and network with other fantastic area photographers. Oh, and I agree with Beth that the Spider Holster is way cool! Keep us updated on the next PUG meetings, if the weather cooperates we’d be happy to make the drive again!

Meghan Thomas - What an exciting night! I am so grateful for the work that you have done to get us, our own PUG! I love that we have so many talented professionals in our backyard and now we can actually utilize that!
Thanks!!

Alice - Thank you so much!

Bob Kaussner - Hi Alice!,

Just a short message to thank you once again for your excellent hospitality, and truly great first Central New York PUG meeting at your house Wednesday evening. Although I’ve been a Pictage Pro member of several years, I’ve been feeling disappointed not having a PUG in our area (the closest one being four hours away in NYC). Now I don’t need to be disappointed anymore since the PUG meeting that you hosted and ran so beautifully was fabulous. I now look forward to continuing the tradition that you’ve begun of networking with other talented photographers and sharing the wealth of one-another’s experience, vision, and common passion of photography. Thank you once again for a great first PUG meeting!

Marianne Miles - Thanks so-o much for hosting a great meeting! I enjoyed all the speakers – who were exceptional – and meeting the other photographers. I am back to work with a renewed spirit and belief in what I’m doing. Thanks again. See you next month-
Marianne

Beth - Justin and Mary are awesome! Their presentation was very inspirational! Shai’s spider holster is way cool! It seemed like everyone enjoyed the meeting :)

it’s going to be a good night {tonight}

October 6th is a big day/night for me.  I’ve been counting down to it.  Why?  Well, it’s very exciting… As a longtime member of the Pictage community, I am so happy to announce that I have started a local Pictage User Group (aka PUG) in Central New York.  If you are not familiar with Pictage, […]
