It is definitely engagement portrait season, as the past two weekends, I’ve been on the road to New York City and Virginia for work. I’ve shared a couple of quick peeks on my facebook page here and here.

I’m thrilled to share this full post from Tera and Mark’s Brooklyn engagement session.

Tera and Mark share a love of live music, and started collecting and rotating these amazing concert posters in their Williamsburg apartment.

Tera’s smile is the most beautiful I’ve ever seen!

They are so sweet and super adorable. I love these next few black & white images…

Tera and Mark’s cat Pablo was not feeling well that day, but from all the photographs I’ve seen he always seems to have this surprised look on his darling little face!

We walked around Brooklyn and found this cool urban wall…

We also took in the view of Manhattan near sunset. This is a favorite of mine…

jackson {puppy portrait}

Last summer Beth and I had such a great time photographing Lauren and Jimmy… you can see a couple of shots here and here. So when we go the call that Lauren and Jimmy had recently rescued Jackson a super adorable cockapoo puppy, we were over the moon with excitement to meet and photograph him!

Aside from being just stinking adorable, Jackson has some fun tricks he likes to do. Like dancing….

laurie + travis {washington dc engagement}

Like so many of my wedding clients, Laurie and Travis are getting married in New York, but they live out of state. Whenever possible, I always try to photograph engagement portraits where a couple currently lives. I believe this offers a perfect opportunity to create wonderful portraits in locations that are meaningful to my clients. Not to mention, I love to a road trip!

For Laurie and Travis, this meant I traveled to, our nation’s beautiful capital, Washington DC.

We started off our adventure in Travis’ neighborhood…

Then jaunted over to Georgetown…

Lastly, we found ourselves on top of The John F. Kennedy Center, just as the sun was setting …

This is what I call a “real hug!”

So so so cute!

Speaking of locations with special meaning… this is where Laurie and Travis had their first kiss!

Laurie and Travis, thank you so much for the wonderful afternoon in DC. I’m so looking forward to your upcoming Cooperstown Wedding!

marriage {and babies}

Last year I had the honor of photographing Jen and Anton’s gorgeous Aurora Inn wedding…

I’m sending them a big blog congratulations, as they are now expecting their first baby together!

You all know how much I love photographing my clients, but it really means the world to me when they send that love back to me! happy march {it’s going to be special}

Happy March folks!

This is going to be a very special month. By special, I mean we are going to be announcing some AWESOME specials! We’ve got some exciting new plans, so be sure to stay tuned.

In other news, we recently teamed up with our fabulous pal Stephanie of Sissy’s Vintage & Nouveau Boutique in Baldwinsville, NY for a fun dog themed kids birthday party. I think we had the cutest models ever!

We are so honored to have some of the photographs featured on the super popular, fun and fabulous blog Pizzazzerie.com!

One of the DIY details we created were these green whoopie pies to go along with the lime green color scheme of the party. Seeing as it is March, I think these could be a fun treat for St. Patricks Day as well.
