happy march {it’s going to be special}

Happy March folks!

This is going to be a very special month.  By special, I mean we are going to be announcing some AWESOME specials!   We’ve got some exciting new plans, so be sure to stay tuned.

In other news, we recently teamed up with our fabulous pal Stephanie of Sissy’s Vintage & Nouveau Boutique in Baldwinsville, NY for a fun dog themed kids birthday party.  I think we had the cutest models ever!

We are so honored to have some of the photographs featured on the super popular, fun and fabulous blog Pizzazzerie.com!

One of the DIY details we created were these green whoopie pies to go along with the lime green color scheme of the party.  Seeing as it is March, I think these could be a fun treat for St. Patricks Day as well.

I never tire of looking at photographs, so when I discovered Moment Junkie I was instantly hooked!

Moment Junkie offers a fantastic daily dose of candid photographs from weddings.  Some of them are touching, sweet, and many of the images are hilarious.  I’m tickled pink that this photograph of mine from Sarah and Steve’s wedding is being featured by Moment Junkie today. It makes me laugh every time I look at it…

Well Wed New York is one of my favorite wedding magazines!

You can be sure I am thrilled to have some of my photographs included in their Fall & Winter 2011 issue.   For starters, they used one of my photographs from Jessica and Matt’s Skaneateles wedding on Page 1!

I couldn’t haven’t been more honored…

They also included a three page spread of an inspiration shoot Beth and I photographed for The Sweetest Occasion’s: Inspired Creations Contest

Last but not least some more images from Jessica and Matt’s wedding in an inspiration board…

catching up with baby mila {1 year old}

Mila is my first “Baby’s First Year” client, and it was so great to be able to witness and document this little darling’s growth.  To catch up, you can view here newborn portraits here, 4 months here, and at 8 months here.

Last fall we photographed Mila’s One Year portraits.  I tell you this baby girl is a bundle of sweetness and, of course, cute as button…

vintage dog collectibles {mi casa}

One of my new year’s resolutions is to give my blog more attention.  While most of it will be photography related, I am going to do my best to contribute more personal posts to help you get to know me better.  Today I’m going to start in the already-existing-but-sorely-neglected “mi casa” category.

While photography is my biggest passion in life, I’m more than a little bit obsessed with interior design, home magazines, and fixing up my 93 year old house.  One unique element to my home is my vintage and antique dog collectibles.  If you are new to my blog, you may have missed the first installment of my vintage dog collection as seen here.  It’s been quite a while since the original post, so here is a glimpse at some additions to my growing collection.  If you love dogs or quirky vintage/ antique artwork, you just may appreciate these as much as I do.

This amazing folk art piece is among my favorites.  The “boy dog” detail cracks me up.

This antique oil painting was an extremely generous gift from some of my doggy clients.

I picked up this little bakelite scottie pencil sharpener at an antique show.

Love this wood sculptural poodle toy.

Although I have some fab ceramic pieces, I definitely lean more to the metal figurines like these ones.

My eldest sister gave me this fun piece.  I sure do love me some smooshed-face-Frenchies.
