So yesterday we introduced you to the amazingly talented Holly Piselli of A-List Artistry and my niece Abby was kind enough to model for our session. Once we were done with Vendor Spotlight shoot, we decided to take advantage of Abby’s awesome hair and makeup and do a mini fashion shoot….

Abby’s gorgeous updo was done at La Tresse by Renee in Baldwinsville, NY.

My beautiful niece Abby had her High School Senior Ball about a week ago. I can’t believe she is getting ready to graduate and go on to college. So glad Beth and I could be there to photograph some portraits of her and her friends. This is by far my favorite of the evening…

Isn’t this a great looking bunch? Loving all of the different colors the girls wore. Love you Abby, you look gorgeous!

The Irish Claddagh ring is so cool when it comes to expressing love. On it’s own it symbolizes the key factors of love with three design elements. A heart representing love, two hands holding the heart for friendship, and a crown to honor loyalty. Cool, right? winter semi formal {photo party}

I’ve added a new “photo booth” service as an a la carte option for my 2010 clients. It’s brand new service, so we thought we would try it out last weekend. My niece invited her friends over to my house for a little pre-dance photo party, before they headed out for a great night at their high school semi formal. Beth (my sister/ studio manager) brought over a box full of super fun props. The photo booth was a big hit with the kids, and some of the parents even joined in the fun. abby’s birthday/graduation weekend {boston,ma}

Abby had a lot to smile about during her fantastic birthday/ high school graduation weekend; and this candy filled pinata says it all!

Her parents sure know how throw a good-time-had-by-all-kind-of-party! There was fun decorations that included homemade flowers and lots of balloons!

This next shot reminds me of the sweet movie UP! There she goes… up, up, and away!

Look how cute these four are!Did I mention all of the amazing food? mmmmm… these pastries were delicious!

family portrait in boston, ma {part II}

This is the second of three (maybe four) segments from my recent trip to Belmont, MA (which is just outside of Boston).

In my last post, you saw some photos that Diane had hired me to take of her sister’s family. Later that same day, Diane’s dear mom hired me to photograph Diane and her gang. We hit the road to find a new location… and landed at the luscious Harvard Square. So without further ado, here are some of my favorites of Diane, Tom, Abby, Maddie, Henry, and Phoebe.

I was loving the Weeks Footbridge in Harvard Square, as our backdrop. It is quite charming. I love the bridge’s character (aka signs of age) that accompany it’s fantastic views of the Charles River down below.

We were climbing all over this bridge. I was standing on the railing to get this next shot, until Diane said “Alice be careful.” Suddenly my nickname “Avalanche Alice” whispered through my ears, as I looked down to see just how far below the cold water of the river was. It was a big enough drop, that we quickly moved on to other “more beautiful” scenery. Really, I was done with this scenario ;).

Then we went onto some real fun that included cartwheels…

I love this shot… it pairs great with the image above, but is so abstract on it’s own.

I’m also quite keen on these next two shots. This is a family full of teens, and they have such a great time together!

abby & charles {junior prom}

Half of this group had to run at track meets the afternoon of their junior prom! I’m so impressed that not only did everyone get showered, but they looked AWESOME!

The girls were gorgeous in their stunning gowns; and the guys were rocking the tuxedos!

I had such a great time photographing these amazing teens! I would like to send out a special thank you to our gracious hosts Donna and Mike. Mike did a lovely job manicuring the lawn for us.

Have I told you that I’m in the process of designing a new website? These things always take so much longer than I expect or want them to. In the end, I’m hoping it will all be worth it. One of the new features that I will have on my new site, is a product gallery.

Attention Parents…. I’m very excited that I can now offer you press printed senior announcement and invitations cards.

I’ve been juggling a few projects this past week. I’m happy to say, however, that I just finished Abby’s senior portrait slide show. There are so many great shots. Not hard to do, when you have the stunningly gorgeous Abby to work with. I probably squeezed a few too many images into the slides show. Sometimes it is just hard to let go. Luckily, Abby and her family have a lot more photos to view with their online proofing and ordering gallery (one of the perks that comes with each of my portrait sessions).

If you are at all like me, you’ll want to watch this one several times. So without further ado, please enjoy…

I had the great pleasure of photographing Abby’s senior portrait this past weekend. In addition to a nice portrait for the yearbook, I really like to do lifestyle portraits for my seniors. The photo sessions turn out to be really fun for both me and the seniors. Right Abby? Well, here is a sneak peek of just a few photos for Abby and her family. There is a LOT more that will be coming soon.

Abby has a beautiful cello that she plays. When she arrived for her photo session, I immediately noticed her cool jacket and loved her giant cello case. I told her to stay right where she was, so I could get this super stylish shot. She looks so sophisticated here. Don’t worry, we’ve got her true teen colors showing later in the shoot.

Abby also runs for her school’s track team, which is where we got these super cute shots on the bleachers.
