So yesterday we introduced you to the amazingly talented Holly Piselli of A-List Artistry and my niece Abby was kind enough to model for our session. Once we were done with Vendor Spotlight shoot, we decided to take advantage of Abby’s awesome hair and makeup and do a mini fashion shoot….

Abby’s gorgeous updo was done at La Tresse by Renee in Baldwinsville, NY.

Abby you are stunning, and sweet as apple pie!

It’s been a while since we’ve done a vendor spotlight here on the ol’ blog, but what better way to kick off the new season, than with an introduction of Central New York’s premier makeup artist.

Introducing Holly Piselli of A-List Artistry…

Beth and I first met Holly at a social for wedding professionals. Later we learned that just about all of our married friends in the industry have used Holly at their own weddings. Yep, she is just that cool and (as you can see below) a whole lot of fun too!

When we asked Holly to be a vendor spotlight, Beth’s beautiful daughter volunteered to be our model.

Voila… perfectly lovely!

So remember ladies, if you are getting married, having an engagement session, going to the prom, or just want to glam it up for your hubby on date night… Holly of A-List Artistry is your gal!

cyd + nina {a girl and her dog}

I can’t tell you how thrilled I was when Cyd of The Sweetest Occasion fame, asked me to photograph portraits of her dog Nina. Okay, I guess I can tell you… I was super thrilled!

Everyone who knows me, is very aware of my dog obsession. I own three dogs myself. As if that isn’t enough, I literally point out every dog I see to whomever may be keeping company with me. By the way, that is not any kind of exaggeration. Well meeting Nina, was no exception. Not only is Nina such a good girl, this five year old black lab is quite the beauty…

Nina is also very affectionate. She gives her family lots of kisses…

Of course, Nina is the target of much affection herself…

Like most dogs, Nina loves nothing more than to hop in the car and go to someplace fun like a great big park…

But sometimes her regal ways do subside, and she goes bonkers for rolling in the grass or chewing on a favorite toy…

Being a labrador retriever you know Nina loves water! While she didn’t get to go in this time, she seemed happy enough to be sitting near it. I was basically in Photography Heaven at this point. I mean just look at this next series with the lovely Cyd and Nina, and that incredible sunset…

This is definitely a new favorite for me…

I confess by the time we were done with this fun day of shooting, Nina was ready to go home and go to sleep. So a big thank you, to both Cyd and Nina, for all that you gave to make these great portraits… you are awesome! xoxo, Alice

My beautiful niece Abby had her High School Senior Ball about a week ago. I can’t believe she is getting ready to graduate and go on to college. So glad Beth and I could be there to photograph some portraits of her and her friends. This is by far my favorite of the evening…

Isn’t this a great looking bunch? Loving all of the different colors the girls wore. Love you Abby, you look gorgeous!

Here is a cute little photo of Erin, Matt, and their cats. Sushi is the darker orange cat, and that big boy walking out of the frame is her son d’Artagnan. I confess when Erin and Matt told me d’Artagnan’s name I knew it sounded familiar but it I didn’t recall what the name referenced… nor did I ask. It wasn’t until just now, when I googled it for spelling, that I rediscovered d’Artagnan was the “Fourth Musketeer.” How cute is that? The Four Musketeers…

ruth + jake’s engagement portraits {part one}

My sister Beth and I have been on an engagement portrait session whirlwind; and I’ve got so many great sessions to post! For starters here is part one of Ruth and Jake’s engagement portrait session. Although Ruth and Jake live in Illinois, they had planned to get married in a meadow on her father’s property in Cato, NY. Eventually the location for the wedding changed, so we decided it would be perfect to photograph Ruth and Jake in the meadows, while they were visiting a few weeks ago.

A very special element, to this session, is that all of the antiques had belonged to Ruth’s grandmother. She was a military nurse, and had great taste in furnishings. When we pulled out this mirror, I knew we had to hang it on a tree! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do…

I’ve been living in Central New York for two and half years, but there are still so many hidden treasures that I crave to explore. A couple of weeks ago, I had the delightful opportunity to drive to a little gem of town called Moravia. This is where Beth and I were fortunate enough to have the absolute delightful pleasure of photographing Jill and Steve’s engagement session. I was actually sick that day, but nothing could have made me feel better than photographing Jill and Steve (who seem to be a perfect match) in the charming and inspiring natural beauty of Moravia, New York! Here is just a peek, with more to follow soon…
